Brian Siambi a failed mathematician with a deep appreciation of everything art, By day am a graphic designer and who has rediscovered my art through photography. Grew up in a small family of three, my twin sister Elizabeth, mum and me. I always loved art from when I was young, in school I used to sketch portraits and matatus. Years later I became a graphic designer who started out at Homeboyz Entertainment years later Head of design for True Love, Drum and Home & Living magazines. My photography journey started in 2014 with my mobile phone for a year to later owning a camera. From since then I have never looked back it has become my addiction, I live eat and breathe photography. I have been fortunate enough to work with amazing people in my journey who include: Adele Dejak – Shooting her latest collecton Almaz and the images were featured in Elle Magazine SA http://www.elle.co.za/meet-adele-dejak/ Republi.Ke – Worked with Annabel Onyango to shoot a lookbook for her new store. Toto Foundation- Website images for the NGO, Sony – Collaborated with them to test out their latest camera technology, Currently working on a personal project dubbed “The Dark Matter Project” which is about showcasing African beauty and fashion. It is a project telling our own narrative of Africa and that we should be proud of our dark skin.
